Al-Konétara folk, emerged in 1976, in the midst of the transition to democracy, as the fruit of the dreams of a group of young people, full of dreams and brimming with altruism, who went where they were called, using their own means.

In 1995 they recorded the album “The stones will scream".

The group is currently preparing their next album, which will include several popular songs from Garrovillas de Alconétar, as well as a poem by a local poet.

Al-Konétara's repertoire is based on traditional folk music, a collection of Extremaduran songs and their own pieces.
