The Roman spa is located in Baños de Montemayor, with its impressive thermal baths and other preserved remains from that time, located in the original building, forming a unique complex. In this building we will find many vestiges of its antiquity, especially from the Roman era, such as the primitive bath, remains of caskets, different bathtubs, basins, coins, altars and Latin epigraphs, which corroborate that these baths were widely accepted by the Hispanic population. -Roman when taking advantage of this mineral-medicinal water. The building has been recently rehabilitated, taking advantage of its sulfur-sodium and oligometallic waters in newly built swimming pools, also offering its Roman circuit (located in an ancient and spectacular cistern) in which different therapeutic applications and uses from the past are recreated. The Roman remains can be visited in an outbuilding converted into a museum. This complex is declared a Historical-Artistic Monument by the Government of Extremadura.
