MAGICAL AUTUMN

Hervas | What to See and Do

The Magical Autumn is celebrated in all the towns of the Ambroz Valley during the months of October, November, and December. It's a Nature Festival with a capital F that brings hiking, music, magic, gastronomy, sounds, colors, flavors, and smells for the enjoyment of the senses. There are more than 70 activities, and there's something for all tastes and audiences. It's a International party of touristic interest Since 2024, it has been taking place in a valley protected by lush forests and high mountains that surround its eight villages: Abadía, Aldeanueva del Camino, Baños de Montemayor, Casas del Monte, Gargantilla, Hervás, La Garganta, and Segura de Toro. It's a collective festival, in which the 8.000 inhabitants of the Ambroz region come together to show visitors the best of this special place. The leafy chestnut and oak forests, many of them centuries old and with their own names, dress in their finest colors before shedding their leaves in preparation for winter. It's a time of chestnuts, mushrooms, the smell of fire and wet leaves. It's a time of magic, it's the time of the Ambroz Valley and Extremadura.
