The duration of the route is 2,50 hours (12,2km), with a medium difficulty, the type of path is track, to be done on foot or by bicycle, and the landscape you will find will be meadows, reservoir, chestnut trees and oaks. The Baños reservoir is filled with waters from the Baños River and with a canal that starts from the Ambroz River. In addition to supplying water to several of the towns in the Ambroz Valley, its main use is to irrigate a large area of the neighboring Tierras de Granadilla region. The trail runs largely along the shore of the reservoir, (5 km) and this section is suitable for all types of walkers, including older people who go to the Baños de Montemayor Spa. It has another part that passes through higher levels, which allows a general view of the reservoir itself and all the peaks of the Traslasierra Mountains that we always keep in mind when walking, such as Pinajarro, more than 2000 meters high. If we do the route in winter we will see these snow-capped peaks, which is another added attraction to the route.
