The route lasts 1,10 hours (3,6km) with a low difficulty, the type of road is a track, and the landscape is chestnut trees. The path runs between the town of Segura de Toro and a farm located on the bank of the Temblar stream, where there are five monumental chestnut trees, all of them between 600 and 700 years old.
These trees are protected as Singular Trees (they were the first trees protected in Extremadura according to Decree 37/2001 of March 6). Each one has its own name: Hondonero, Retorcío, Bronco, del Arroyo and Menuero. It is a very special, magical place, where you feel like you are walking among giants, a must-see and very attractive at any time of the year, although perhaps the colors are more striking in spring and autumn (although they restrict visits in the latter season). .
The trail is round trip, short (4 km total) and easy to follow, although it is on a slope. Along the way you can also enjoy excellent views of the Ambroz Valley.
