How to get to the Magical Autumn

The Ambroz Valley is crossed from north to south by the A-66 highway (E-803), also known as the La Plata Highway. This highway runs parallel to the N-630 national highway, and both are the backbone of the Ambroz Valley.

It is very well connected by highway to nearby cities:

  • 30 km from Plasencia on the A-66
  • 85 km from Salamanca on the A-66
  • 98 km from Cáceres on the A-66
  • 360 km from Seville on the A-66
  • 275 km from Madrid, via the A-5, EX-A1 ​​and A-66

Access to Lisbon is also good, 415 kilometers, of which 325 are by highway.

Baños de Montemayor, Hervás, Aldeanueva del Camino and Casas del Monte have direct exits from the A-66 highway.

  • Aldeanueva del Camino; Hervás and Baños de Montemayor, exit 436
  • Baños de Montemayor has another direct exit, 427

The rest of the towns: Abadía, La Garganta, Gargantilla and Segura de Toro have direct access from the N-630 national highway.
