Abadía

Abadía is crossed by the Ambroz River and is located between pastures in the flattest area of ​​the valley, with surprising views of the mountains. It is a monumental town of great cultural wealth. In addition to a medieval bridge, it has the Palace of Sotofermoso (or of the Dukes of Alba) and the Convent of Bien Parada.

Aldeanueva del Camino

It is located in the center of the region. The town owes its name to the Roman road whose layout its main street follows today, and of which there are still very well preserved remains, as well as a Roman bridge. The Market Square or Severiano Masides Street stand out.

Baños de Montemayor

It is an ideal place to rest, alternating baths in the hot springs with visits to monuments and routes through its surroundings. Of its heritage we must highlight the well-preserved Roman road, its history is explained in the Vía de la Plata Interpretation Center.

Casas del Monte

Casas del Monte is located on the slopes of the Trasierra mountains, with peaks such as Fuente del Moro and Camocho, with an altitude of 1800 meters. The shade of the mountain shelters fruit trees, chestnut trees and centuries-old oaks. Also the fresh waters of its famous natural pool.

La Garganta

La Garganta, in the foothills of the Candelario mountain range, is the highest urban center in the Ambroz valley, it is above 1.000 meters and coexists with snow in winter. It preserves an old snow well. The livestock tradition has linked it to the history of the Iberian Wolf, with its original interpretation center and a wolf trap.

Gargantilla

Gargantilla is a mountain town. In its surroundings, the cherry and queen claudia plum crops stand out on terraces and, higher up, the chestnut forests, and even a birch forest that is protected under the figure of Singular Trees. It has a pleasant natural pool in summer next to the road to the Port of Honduras.

Hervás

The center of commercial activity in the region. Its Jewish quarter, declared a Historical-Artistic Site in 1969, is excellently preserved and belongs to the Network of Jewish Quarters of Spain. Mount Castañar Gallego is a Protected Landscape. It has a varied gastronomic and leisure offer, as well as shops selling typical products.

Segura de Toro

The stone Celtic bull presides over the town square and is the symbol of this town. It preserves ancient remains of a Templar castle and beautiful streets with stone ashlar houses, steep alleys with delightful corners and facades covered in flowers. The Trembling Chestnut Trees are a unique group of plant giants. It has a beautiful natural pool in summer.
