In the recent history of Aldeanueva del Camino, the figure of the sculptor and painter Ángel Duarte stands out, who developed his career between Spain and Paris, obtaining worldwide recognition with Team 57. In the school square you can see one of his works. The Market Square and Severiano Masides Street also stand out.

The parish of Nuestra Señora del Olmo, from the 15th century, in the upper part of the town, is in a transitional Gothic style, something rare in Spain.

Its buttresses, the rectangular tower and its chapel attract attention. For its part, the church of San Servando stands in the lower part.

In addition to the mountains and the pasture, it preserves some specimens of important trees, such as the Fresneda Cork Oak, protected as a unique tree and one of the largest cork oaks in the world, or the remains of old elm trees in the Plaza de las Escuelas.

As a hallmark of this town, the cultivation and processing of paprika stands out, and the exploitation of chestnut trees in small family industries.

The new Vía Verde – Camino Natural de La Plata runs next to the town.
A walk along this path is highly recommended, even a trip to Pozo Hondo, which starts from the Vía Verde.

Another very attractive walk is to head along the Valdelamatanza road to the Finca de La Masides, once a fertile farm for pepper cultivation, and today a residence for the elderly in a beautiful setting, which includes a statue of Enrique Pérez Comendador.
