For example, if you go in the months of October to December you will find the Magic Autumn, a festival declared of National Tourist Interest with walks, concerts, recitals or shows, among many others. In the month of June, the termarium takes place, a show put on by the town's own citizens who go out in Baños de Montemayor dressed as Romans to remember the time of the empire in which the spa was built.
Gastronomy is another important part of any culture, and in the Ambroz Valley you can also taste typical dishes with local foods, such as chestnut stew, or stews with lamb and steaming blood sausages. You can also stop by the surrounding shops, in case what you prefer is to take some exquisite souvenirs typical of the area, such as sausages, paprika or pastries such as mantecado or hornazo.
