Join the Transhumance Festival. La Garganta celebrates its livestock and transhumance past. We’ll have some very interesting proposals:

Ambroz Corners: Guided tour with Eulogio, a transhumant livestock farmer and a true ‘wise man of life’, who will accompany us to learn stories, customs, and anecdotes of this beautiful village. Departure at 10:00 a.m. from Plaza de Vidal Remundaina.
Craft Market starting at 12:00 p.m.

Live Demonstration Workshop ‘Wool Crafting’: Practical workshop with attendees. Basic weaving with a two-stick cross-warp with pure wool. Starting at 12:00 p.m.
Entertainment: Children’s bull run by ‘Arte Charro Espectáculos’ at 12:30 p.m.
Cheese making demonstration and tasting of a typical dish. With the collaboration of ‘Julita’ and the Women’s Association ‘Las Candelas’. Starting at 1:30 p.m.
Luis Pastor Concert ‘Extremadura Fado’: Performance by this renowned Extremaduran singer-songwriter, accompanied by Lourdes Guerra on vocals. Starting at 3:00 p.m. Due to weather conditions, the concert will be held at La Garganta’s Nave.

All activities will take place at Plaza Vidal Remundaina in La Garganta. Additionally, at 4:30 p.m., there will be a talk on ‘The Iberian Wolf and its uses in folk medicine’ by José Antonio González, PhD in Biology, at the Wolf Center.
